POSITION
A full-time position is available for a Supply and Distribution Manager in Gatton QLD 4343
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
You are required to hold at least a relevant bachelor’s degree or higher. In addition, you must have at least one year of relevant work experience. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Supply and Distribution Manager is responsible for planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating supply, storage, handling and distribution operations to ensure the efficient and timely movement of products and operational resources. The role oversees end-to-end supply chain activities including inventory management, logistics coordination, dispatch operations and supplier management to support business objectives and operational requirements.
The position is responsible for ensuring products are distributed within required timeframes while maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency. The role contributes to maintaining continuity of supply, improving workflow processes and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, quality assurance standards and company procedures.
DUTIES
- Plan, organise, direct and coordinate supply, storage and distribution operations to ensure products and operational materials are delivered efficiently and within required timeframes.
- Coordinate logistics and transport activities to support the timely movement and dispatch of products across multiple operational locations and customer networks.
- Develop, implement and monitor inventory control systems and procedures to manage stock movement, storage and supply requirements.
- Monitor stock levels for packaging materials, operational supplies and equipment to ensure continuity of operations and minimise shortages or excess inventory.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, customers and internal departments regarding purchasing requirements, supply availability and delivery schedules.
- Monitor supply chain and distribution activities to ensure workflow efficiency and minimise delays, wastage and operational disruptions.
- Review and maintain purchasing records, stock reports, inventory systems and supply documentation.
- Analyse operational and distribution data to identify opportunities for improved productivity, cost control and service performance.
- Ensure storage, handling and distribution activities are conducted in accordance with quality standards and operational requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise staff involved in supply, inventory, dispatch and distribution activities and monitor workflow and performance outcomes.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve supply chain efficiency and support business growth objectives.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, quality assurance standards and company policies and procedures.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to management relating to supply and distribution performance and process improvements.

SALARY
