The Opportunity

A well-established legal practice in Brisbane City is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Lawyer to join its team.

This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from initial instruction through to resolution. Working closely with senior legal professionals, you will provide high-quality legal advice, advocate for clients, and achieve positive outcomes across a broad range of compensation matters.

This position would suit a lawyer who is passionate about helping clients navigate challenging circumstances while building a long-term career in personal injury law.

About the Role

You will manage personal injury matters from commencement through to resolution.

Key responsibilities include:
• Managing a caseload of personal injury claims
• Conducting initial client consultations and case assessments
• Developing and implementing legal strategies
• Preparing and lodging claims within legislative timeframes
• Gathering and analysing evidence including medical reports and expert opinions
• Drafting legal documents, correspondence and settlement submissions
• Liaising with counsel, medical experts and stakeholders
• Representing clients during negotiations, mediations and conferences
• Managing client relationships and providing exceptional client service
• Achieving favourable outcomes while maintaining compliance with legal obligations

About You

You are a motivated and client-focused lawyer with experience in plaintiff personal injury matters and a passion for achieving positive outcomes.

You will bring:
• Bachelor of Law
• Admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland
• Current practising certificate
• Minimum 3 years' post-admission experience in plaintiff personal injury law
• Strong knowledge of Queensland personal injury legislation
• Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and organisational capability
