POSITION

We have a full-time position for a Farm Worker in Mutchilba QLD 4872.

SKILLS

This role requires you to possess at least one-year of relevant experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Farm Worker is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the orchard, including planting, pruning, irrigation, harvesting, packing, and general maintenance duties. The role supports the production of high-quality fruit while maintaining workplace safety and productivity standards.

POSITION DUTIES

The Orchard Worker will undertake the following tasks;

1. Meeting with farm manager/supervisors to receive assigned tasks.
2. Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use.
3. Completing any prestart machinery checklists.
4. Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining equipment and machinery.
5. Pruning, thinning, and general orchard maintenance.
6. Harvesting fruit in the orchard.
7. Assisting with loading and unloading produce for transport.
8. Sorting, grading and packing fruit.
9. Stacking, stickering, tray labelling and cleaning duties
10. Operating machinery to perform misting, spraying, slashing and fertiliser duties.
11. Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines and sprinklers.
12. Ensure compliance with food safety, biosecurity and OH&S
13. Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $65 000 to $75 000 per annum.
