The Opportunity


An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading government infrastructure delivery team responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of building and construction projects across Queensland.
This position plays a key role in delivering professional project management services across the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to construction delivery and project completion. Working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with agreed scope, budget, quality and time requirements.
Reporting to a senior project leader, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to the successful delivery of infrastructure outcomes that support communities across the region. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of public sector building projects while developing your professional expertise within a collaborative environment.

About the Role
Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing building projects through planning, design, procurement, construction and completion phases
  • Coordinating consultants, contractors and project stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
  • Administering construction contracts across traditional and non-traditional delivery models
  • Monitoring project scope, budgets, schedules and quality requirements
  • Managing client relationships and providing regular project updates
  • Leading project meetings and facilitating stakeholder engagement activities
  • Negotiating with consultants, contractors, local authorities and other stakeholders
  • Preparing reports, project documentation and performance reviews
  • Identifying and managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with quality assurance processes and organisational procedures


About You


You are a motivated and capable project management professional with experience delivering building and construction projects in a client-side, consultancy or contractor environment. You possess strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills and can effectively manage competing priorities while maintaining a focus on quality outcomes and customer service.


You will bring:

  • Experience managing building and construction projects from inception through to completion
  • Strong contract administration and project coordination capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules and resources
  • Experience working with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Well-developed negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong written communication and reporting abilities
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Current Queensland Driver Licence or ability to obtain
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems
  • Experience delivering public sector or government infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
