The Opportunity

We are seeking a Procurement Support Officer to provide high-quality procurement, purchasing and administrative support across a diverse range of construction and maintenance projects.

This role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of essential building and infrastructure services by ensuring procurement processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with legislative and departmental requirements. Working closely with internal teams, customers and stakeholders, you will provide advice on procurement procedures, process purchase orders and work orders, assist with contract administration, and contribute to procurement improvement initiatives.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-quality customer service and act as a key point of contact for procurement enquiries
  • Process purchase orders, work orders, field release orders and other procurement documentation
  • Order materials and services required to support regional project delivery
  • Provide procurement, purchasing and contract administration support across the business
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Assist with procurement-related projects, research and reporting
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with organisational policies and legislative requirements
  • Promote procurement best practice across the organisation
  • Liaise effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional team culture

About You

You are an organised and detail-oriented administration professional with experience supporting procurement or purchasing functions. You enjoy working in a busy environment, have excellent customer service skills and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or administration
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience processing purchase orders and procurement documentation
  • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience interpreting and following policies and procedures
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with purchasing or financial management systems will be highly regarded
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
