Project Manager (Civil Infrastructure) - Regional Council
The Opportunity
A Regional Queensland Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a significant civil infrastructure project as part of the nationally recognised Outback Way construction program.
Reporting to the Works Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a 22-kilometre Pave & Seal section of a major highway project. This role will see you working closely with contractors, consultants and Council stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with approved construction documentation, specifications and contract requirements.
This is a hands-on project delivery role that will require a strong on-site presence throughout the construction program and would suit an experienced civil construction professional who enjoys working in remote environments and seeing projects through from commencement to completion.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a major road construction project from commencement through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the delivery of a 22km Pave & Seal road construction project
• Ensuring compliance with approved construction drawings, specifications and contract requirements
• Coordinating contractors, suppliers and project stakeholders
• Monitoring project schedules, budgets and performance outcomes
• Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Conducting site inspections and overseeing construction quality
• Preparing project reports and providing regular updates to management
• Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and legislative requirements
• Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery
• Supporting successful project handover and completion activities
About You
You are an experienced civil construction professional with a proven track record delivering infrastructure projects in challenging environments.
You will bring:
• Demonstrated experience managing civil construction or road infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, specifications and project delivery frameworks
• Experience supervising contractors and managing project stakeholders
• Ability to monitor budgets, schedules and project performance
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Sound understanding of WHS and risk management requirements
• Ability to work effectively within remote or regional environments
• Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence
Highly Regarded:
• Experience delivering road construction, sealing or transport infrastructure projects
• Local Government or client-side project management experience
• Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management
