POSITION

We have full-time positions available for Taxi Drivers in Cairns 4870.

SKILLS

The role requires you to have;

• at least a relevant Certificate II or Certificate III or at least 12 months of relevant work experience OR
• 2 Years of relevant work experience AND
• Current QLD driver authorisation

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Taxi Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of passengers on a fee-for-service basis using a metered fare system. This role requires strong driving and navigation skills to ensure timely and accurate journeys and a high standard of customer service to create a positive experience for all passengers. You will be expected to demonstrate professionalism, courtesy and reliability while assisting with passenger needs, managing fare transactions, and maintaining knowledge of local routes, traffic conditions and destinations.

POSITION DUTIES

You will be required to undertake the following duties;

• Operate a taxi to safely pick up passengers from designated locations, taxi ranks, or in response to hails and booking requests.
• Confirm passenger destinations and determine the safest and most efficient travel routes, taking into account traffic and road conditions.
• Use mobile computer systems and radio communication networks to receive, manage, and respond to passenger bookings in a timely manner.
• Provide reliable, courteous, and professional transport services to ensure passengers enjoy a comfortable and positive travel experience.
• Assist passengers with luggage, mobility aids, or other needs to support safe boarding and departure.
• Accurately calculate and collect fares, process cash or electronic payments, and issue receipts as required.
• Maintain accurate records of completed trips, including mileage and fares collected.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the taxi and ensure that any required vehicle maintenance is completed.

SALARY

The position will attract a salary between $70,000 to $80,000 per annum.
