POSITION

Full-time Delivery Driver position based in Kununurra, WA 6743.

SKILLS

The role requires at least one year of relevant work experience and a current Australian driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated. A forklift licence is desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods. The role includes planning delivery routes, checking consignments, loading and unloading goods, maintaining delivery records and providing professional customer service.

POSITION DUTIES

• Determine delivery destinations and select safe and efficient routes.
• Review delivery schedules, consignment details and customer instructions.
• Safely drive company vehicles to collect and deliver goods.
• Manoeuvre vehicles into position for loading and unloading.
• Check goods against manifests and consignment documents.
• Assist with loading and safely securing goods for transport.
• Inspect consignments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
• Unload goods safely at delivery locations.
• Obtain signatures or electronic confirmation of deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including unsuccessful deliveries, returns and damaged goods.
• Communicate with dispatch staff and customers regarding deliveries, delays and access requirements.
• Provide professional customer service when collecting and delivering goods.
• Complete routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow road laws, WHS requirements, safe manual-handling procedures and chain of responsibility.
• Occasionally operate a forklift, where licensed and authorised, to assist with loading or unloading goods.

SALARY

Annual salary of $75,000–$85,000, based on experience.
