POSITION

We have a full-time position for an Accounts Clerk available in Portsmith, 4870

SKILLS

Have at least a relevant AQF Certificate II or above and at least 12 months of relevant work experience. If no relevant qualification is held, at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining creditor and debtor accounts accurately and promptly. This role involves ensuring that all financial data and records are effectively managed, securely stored, and maintained in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. You will also be overseeing overheads and operating costs, including but not limited to wages, invoices, payments, and income, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions.

POSITION DUTIES

  • Undertaking the accounts payable and receivable and ensuring all related documentation is prepared, processed, and stored correctly.
  • Reconciling all business invoices and ensuring payments are dispatched in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Research and analyse regular and irregular expenditure, including wages, overheads, and standard operating costs.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and report findings promptly.
  • Collate and summarise expenditures and receipts.
  • Maintain budget accounts and where necessary allocate relevant expenditures to these.
  • Create and maintain accurate records of standard costs and inventory values, including food products and packaging supplies.
  • Record cost and contract prices, monitor changes, and maintain up-to-date pricing information.
  • Compile financial data for operating budgets and profit-and-loss calculations.
  • Support the Directors by preparing reports on total costs, inventory adjustments, selling prices, and profitability.

SALARY

The salary offered will be $70,000 to $80,000 per annum, negotiated based on your experience.
