POSITION

We have a full-time position available for a Resort Manager in Cable Beach, WA 6726.

SKILLS

The role requires you to hold at least a diploma qualification and at least 1 year of relevant work experience. At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Resort Manager is responsible for directing, coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the resort to ensure the business operates efficiently, safely and professionally. This includes managing guest services, reservations, reception, housekeeping, room service, maintenance, security and administrative activities while maintaining the presentation and operational standards of the property. The Resort Manager provides effective leadership and support to resort staff, coordinates departmental activities and ensures guests consistently receive a high standard of service. The role also involves monitoring operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, resolving guest and workplace concerns and ensuring compliance with company policies, workplace health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.

POSITION DUTIES

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily resort operations, including guest arrivals and departures, room readiness, special requests and individual guest requirements.
• Manage and coordinate reservations, reception, room service and housekeeping to ensure smooth daily operations and the delivery of exceptional guest service.
• Supervise resort staff, prepare rosters, allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, provide ongoing guidance and support and assist with the induction and training of new staff.
• Promote a professional, collaborative and customer-focused workplace while responding promptly to staffing and operational matters.
• Monitor and evaluate guest satisfaction, respond professionally to feedback and complaints and implement appropriate service improvements.
• Oversee resort security arrangements and coordinate the upkeep of gardens, buildings, facilities, equipment and other resort property.
• Coordinate maintenance, engage contractors and service providers and ensure outstanding repairs are completed promptly.
• Oversee accounting and purchasing activities, including guest accounts, invoices, operational expenditure, stock control and the procurement of supplies.
• Maintain accurate operational, financial, incident, maintenance and guest-service records and prepare reports for the Director/General Manager.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and promote established safety, security, emergency-response and incident-management procedures.
• Identify, assess and report workplace hazards, incidents and operational risks, ensuring staff comply with relevant policies and safe work practices.
• Monitor the presentation, cleanliness, safety and functionality of guest rooms, public areas, swimming pools, gardens and other resort facilities.
• Provide guests with accurate information about local attractions, tourism services and activities, and arrange tours and transportation where required.
• Collaborate closely with the Director/General Manager to oversee resort operations, provide regular updates on staffing, guest concerns, maintenance and other operational matters and implement approved business decisions and operational initiatives.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, employees, suppliers, contractors, tourism operators and other service providers.
• Identify operational concerns and opportunities for improvement and implement approved procedures and initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

SALARY

The salary will be $75,000 - $85,000 per annum based on experience.
