Program Scheduler

Coordinate regional scheduling and planning activities within a busy Queensland Government environment.

  • Play a key role in coordinating regional programs, resources and delivery planning
  • Work closely with delivery teams to keep projects and priorities on track
  • Use your scheduling expertise to identify risks, manage milestones and support successful outcomes

About the Organisation

Our client is a Queensland Government organisation responsible for delivering and maintaining important infrastructure across the region.

The Opportunity

Based in Cairns, this is an opportunity for an experienced Program Scheduler to support the effective planning and coordination of regional delivery activities.

You will maintain high-level project and program schedules, monitor milestones and deliverables, identify potential delays and emerging risks, and provide timely updates to delivery teams. The role will also contribute to resource planning, apprentice and work experience coordination, planning meetings and the ongoing development of project schedules.

This is a temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

About You

You will have experience in program or project scheduling, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience using MS Project, Excel or other scheduling tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify variances, delays and risks
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with delivery teams and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to research information and exercise sound judgement
