Mechanical Engineer

POSITION

We have a position for a Mechanical Engineer in a full-time, ongoing position at Pinkenba Qld 4008, working on pressure vessels, process piping and modular skid packages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review mechanical designs, engineering calculations, drawings and material specifications.
• Plan and oversee fabrication, assembly, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Investigate equipment faults, develop maintenance plans and improve plant performance.
• Coordinate with workshop teams, clients and suppliers to meet engineering standards, safety requirements and project specifications.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• At least one year of relevant post-qualification mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, mechanical equipment and applicable engineering standards.
• Competence in engineering calculations and CAD drawing review, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

DESIRABLE

• Experience in mining, refinery, petrochemical, oil and gas or coal seam gas projects.
• Experience with modular process skids, pressure vessels, high-pressure piping, structural supports and multidisciplinary electrical or instrumentation interfaces.

SALARY

$95,000 to $115,000 plus superannuation per annum, negotiated based on your experience.
